Taste of Preschool for
9:00-11:30 AM, Mon/Wed; or Tue/Thur (must be 2 by Sept 1)
A great introduction to what preschool is all about. This is a small group class for our youngest students. We introduce basic concepts like colors and shapes, while teaching social skills and what it’s like to follow a classroom routine. It’s all done in a fun, friendly, and age-appropriate setting.
9:00-11:30 AM, Mon/Wed/Fri; or Tue/Thur (must be 3 by Sept 1)
This is where we establish the building blocks for our preschool experience. Students learn about shapes, colors, numbers, name recognition, alike/different, and many other fundamental concepts. We learn to play and interact with others and “exercise our brains” along the way.
4- & 5-year-olds
9:00-11:30 AM, Tue/Wed/Thur; or Mon/Tue/Wed/ Thur (must be 4 by Sept 1)
What a fun place to be! This is where we put all those fundamentals to use. Students explore many different topics and concepts. They increase their phonemic awareness while exploring letters and sounds. Basic math and science concepts are discussed. Students spend this year increasing the knowledge they need to ensure a great kindergarten year.
Extended learning, extended fun!
Afternoon add-on options.
Jump Start Kindergarten
11:30 AM-2:00 PM, Tue/Wed (Pre-K only)
This program for 4- & 5-year olds introduces and extends children’s awareness of pre-reading and pre-math skills. Children work in small groups with a kindergarten level curriculum. This class is geared towards children who are attending kindergarten the following year and who are ready for the challenge of an academic-focused class. Time for lunch is included in this class. You must be signed up for one of our morning 4- & 5-year olds classes to join Jump Start Kindergarten.
Afternoon enrichment classes are designed to extend your child’s day and learning time. Children have the opportunity to learn, explore, and play outside of their traditional classroom. Classes include time for lunch and are open to 3-, 4-, & 5-year-olds:
- 11:30-2:00 Mon – Mixing, Magic, Mmmmm – Get ready to measure, mix, and create delicious creations in the kitchen. Students learn how to prepare treats by following multi-step, organized directions, while actively participating, mixing, and cooperating with friends.
- 11:30-2:00 Thur – I’m a Scientist – Our little scientists begin to understand their world through hands-on experiments indoors and outdoors.
